Hyundai’s best-selling C-segment sedan in India could make the reversing camera feature as a standard piece of equipment in the future. Reversing camera was said to be the best in class feature that was first offered by Hyundai India, making Hyundai’s 2012 Verna Fluidic a segment leader when it was launched in 2011.

Aside from the reversing camera, the Verna Fluidic sedan offered a wide range of segment leading features that has been a major attraction amongst potential buyers. This reversing camera together with the car’s attractive looks brought by its fluidic design philosophy, have been the major reasons for the Verna t well in the market.

The Verna Fluidic’s reverse cameraautomatically displays the rear view of the car on the inner rear view mirror during reversing. This is significantly useful when reversing in tight parking spaces and the camera works much better than reverse sensors which the other cars in the C-segment feature.

However, comes along with the addition of the reverse camera in all kinds of Verna is its price hike of about INR 15,000 to 20,000. It remains to be uncertain whether the buyer of major variants of the car would appreciate the price increase for its new feature.

Nevertheless, with the move, Hyundai India could once again raise its standard by offering a higher level of device even on the primary models of its cars. People could expect such features could become common in most cars’ primary variants in the future. In such event, Hyundai should be commended.

In these past few years, the automaker has been constantly giving car buyers better features such as the reversing camera.

Hyundai’s Verna Fluidic comes in a banging ten variants, upon four engine options, a wide range of choice. Among these, the high selling models have been the 1.4 liter and 1.6. liter diesel engine models which come with six speed manual transmission as standard.

Meanwhile, the top end diesel variant features four speed automatic gearbox as its option. Both 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter petrol engines come with the five speed manual transmission while the top end variant can be marked with the four speed automatic gearbox.
